In rebellion against the neo-conservative "right", I have noticed a strong tendency among some, particularly moderates or the most extreme white nationalists
(for some fucking reason) to oppose western colonialism and imperialism all together. I've heard Nationalists claim that in an ideal world for the white race,
all nations would be entitled to their own nation states and that the white race and Christendom should not expand past it's own borders. I even saw a
"National Socialist" telegram channel say that White australians should be remigrated and that Australia belongs to the aboriginals, something not even
audacious enough for a Communist to claim.
In this article I want to articulate why I, a Christian Nationalist, completely support imperialism/colonialism and explain that to truly be America First
you must support it, as well as talk about the current state of western imperialism.
Why it is morally just
There are two angles of tackling this issue.
Politics
Many isolationists proclaim to be 'America first', yet how can you be America first if you prioritize the supposed peace of other nations over the prosperity
of your own? And yes, imperialism does cause the empire to prosper. Colonialism has brought the west cheap labor and cheap resources, which directly
affect your day-to-day life. If you have even the most basic understanding of economics you can grasp this. London at the British Empire's peak became
the worlds financial capital. Average British families had access to luxuries they didn't have previously, such as tea and sugar. With American neo-colonialism
we can maintain cheap access to everything from fashion to food and oil, as well as helping to pay off the national debt and make America secure from attacks.
Morality
Western imperialism can very often have a positive effect on the people being conquered. To name a few:
The Christianization of the conquered nation
Far less corruption
Ending internal atrocities commited between third worlders, as is common in decolonized Africa
Free infrastructure
Access to western standards of healthcare
Access to decent education
Economic growth
There have been attempts to paint western imperial powers as having commited severe atrocities (like with Reddit-tier historians painting King Leopold II of
Belgium as having the highest death toll of any figure in history) to demonize colonialism as malicious, greedy, bloodlustful and exploitative. For the
issue of King Leopold II an entire article could be made but I'd recommend that you read this
thread by @poperespecter1. TLDR: the deaths (which have been extremely exaggerated) were due to Arab slave traders and Congo soldiers which Leopold tried
to stop. This by itself is representative of many supposed atrocities. Not to say that western colonists never committed atrocities, just not nearly to the
extent claimed by many.
Another example is the trans-atlantic slave trade. The narrative which I was taught was that white people came to the Congo and kidnapped peaceful black people
in the most notable instance of slavery ever, and one which was uniquely bad. In reality, the Congo sold Congolese subjects to white people in exchange for
gunpowder and other resources. Slavery was extremely common throughout all of human history until the west had decided it was bad a few centuries ago, and
forced much of the third world to stop practice it which they were only able to do because of colonialism.
The failures of Neo-Conservative imperialism
This is in reference mainly to wars like Iraq, Afghanistan and Vietnam among others which lasted for way too long, cost way too many deaths, weakened
American hegemony and resulted in American capitulation. But the middle eastern forever wars were fueled by a combination of:
Islamist groups reacting to Israeli atrocities
The CIA funding and giving arms to Islamist terror groups, the same groups we would end up fighting
As for Vietnam, the failure of the Vietnam war can be attributed to:
Vietnam being ecologically defended by its terrain and forests, an environment which the American military was unexperienced with
Hippie culture demoralization which was a result of decadence and KGB-backing
Furthermore, we could have defeated Communism before Vietnam even became Communist had we aligned with Germany and defeated the USSR as General Patton famously
remarked.
Thoughts on western imperialism in the modern day
The United States and multiple European powers now attempt to maintain dominance over the third world through Neo-Colonialism; which is when a western
government creates or backs a third world government through means such as regime change, funding, etc in a way that creates dependence and forces a reliance
upon the western power, thus giving that power indirect control and influence over the third world country.
Neo-Colonialism is beneficial because it is indirect but it is also bad because it is indirect. It is believed that the main benefit of Neo-Colonialism are
that it can avoid bad PR basically. But the bad publicity and sanctions seen by direct invasions such as the Russo-Ukrainian war are only because the world
order is anti-Russia. Furthermore many people from the third world seem to recognize more easily that western Imperialism was beneficial, and they often
times only became anti-Western due to foreign (typically Communist) backing of Communist groups.
Plus with a traditionally colonialist empire we won't have to be constantly involved in other countries, since with Neo-Colonialism you have to worry about
elections and the politics of the culture and regime causing an adversary to take power.
It is also understated how beneficial the national pride from having a direct colonial empire can be. It is not the same feeling knowing that your government
occupies many other governments compared to knowing that your people have created an empire spanning the entire globe.
